California Foreclosure Consultant Disclosure
Under California Civil Code Sections 2945-2945.11, a foreclosure consultant is defined as any person who makes a solicitation, representation, or offer to a homeowner to perform certain services in connection with a foreclosure.
Your Rights as a Homeowner
- You have the right to cancel any contract with a foreclosure consultant within three (3) business days.
- The foreclosure consultant is prohibited from collecting any fee or compensation until the services have been fully performed.
- You are not required to sign any documents you do not understand.
- You have the right to seek independent legal counsel before entering any agreement.
